Our Mission is to facilitate the caring of people in rural communities throughout Stearns County by helping communities be aware of persons in need and help them to respond.
Rural Stearns Faith in Action (RSFIA) is a program of Assumption Community Services, INC., a Nonprofit Organization that collaborates with Congregations, Social Agencies, and Community Organizations for the purpose of providing assistance to people in need of services to allow them to remain in their homes and communities.
Some of the communities served by Rural Stearns Faith In Action include: Belgrade, Brooten, Melrose, Sauk Centre, Kimball, St. Joseph, Avon, Albany, Rockville, Richmond, Cold Spring, and many outlying areas in between.
Rural Stearns Faith in Action strives to provide services for our elderly neighbors, those with disabilities, and those facing difficult life situations. Some of the services offered include: minor home repair, home making, transportation and friendly visits.
Rural Stearns also provides support for our caregivers in the community with respite care, one on one caregiver coaching session, and caregiver education opportunities.
